George Sarlo
Managing Director
Mr. Sarlo is a venture capital pioneer. He
co-founded Walden in 1974 with Mr. Berliner and is known for his
expertise in technology and semiconductors.
Along with Mr. Berliner, he also co-founded Walden International and
Walden Israel, two venture firms with over $1.5 billion in combined
committed capital under management that invest in high technology
opportunities primarily in Asia and Israel, respectively.
Mr. Sarlo also was the Founder and Chairman of Ashfield & Co., Inc.,
an investment management company in San Francisco with over $4 billion
under management. Ashfield was sold to Old Mutual plc (LSE:OML) in
February 2007.

awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree at the University
of San Francisco.
