Larry is passionate about brands, joyful products, breakthrough technologies and people that know how to manifest a compelling vision. Larry is a co-founder and Managing Director at Marcy Venture Partners where he focuses on consumer, culture and positive impact investing.
Investments at Walden include: Pandora Radio (founding investor - IPO) , SoundHound, (Voice - AI / IPO), Aarki (mobile marketing - Acquired by Skillz), Robust Wealth (Financial Software-acquired by PFG), TouchBistro (restaurant tech - exit to a PE investor), MeUndies (fashion), TodayTix (theater tickets), Square Two (games publisher), Hatch.co (sleep assistance products), Terayon (broadband infrastructure - acquired by Motorola). As an Angel investor, Larry has backed companies including Netflix (IPO), BandPage (acquired by Google), Maestro, and LyricFind. He was named to the Billboard Power 100 in music and the Twitter 140 to follow.
Prior to Walden, Larry was a digital media sell-side Equity Research Analyst at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown where he led IPOs of Netflix (initial S-1 filing), Terayon (top performing IPO of the year), CBS MarketWatch (top performing IPO of the year), Maxis (acquired by Electronic Arts), Edmark (acquired by IBM) among other equity and debt financings (Broderbund, Sierra On-line, Excite@Home, Spectrum Holobyte, CBS Sportsline).
Education: Larry received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
